It operates truck terminals in Houston, Corpus Christi, and Nederland, Texas; Baton Rouge and St. Rose, Louisiana; and Mobile, Alabama, as well as 308 truck tractors. This segment also owns and operates 558 tank trailers. The company's Oil and Gas segment explores for and develops oil and natural gas properties primarily in the Permian Basin of West Texas and the Haynesville Shale. This segment holds an interest in 470 producing wells, under which 6 are company operated. Adams Resources & Energy, Inc. was founded in 1947 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
