Williams Partners L.P. operates as an energy infrastructure company. It operates through Central, Northeast G&P, Atlantic-Gulf, West, and NGL & Petchem Services segments. The Central segment provides gathering, treating, and compression services to producers in the Barnett shale region of north-central Texas, the Eagle Ford shale region of south Texas, the Haynesville shale region of northwest Louisiana, and the Mid-Continent region. The Northeast G&P segment engages in the midstream gathering and processing, and NGL fractionation businesses in the Marcellus and Utica shale regions in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, and Ohio. The Atlantic-Gulf segment is involved in the interstate natural gas pipeline; and natural gas gathering and processing, and crude oil production handling and transportation activities in the Gulf Coast region. The West segment engages in the natural gas gathering, processing, and treating operations in New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming, as well as operates the interstate natural gas pipeline and the Northwest Pipeline. The NGL & Petchem Services segment engages in the operation of an olefins production facility in Geismar, Louisiana; a refinery grade propylene splitter, and various petrochemical and feedstock pipelines in the Gulf Coast region; an oil sands offgas processing plant near Fort McMurray, Alberta; a (natural gas liquids) NGL/olefin fractionation facility; and storage facilities and an NGL fractionator near Conway, Kansas, as well as NGL and natural gas marketing business. WPZ GP LLC serves as the general partner of the company. The company was founded in 2005 and is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
